This page describes what World of Truth collects when you follow an artist here, why we collect it, who else touches it, and how to get it back or get rid of it. It covers this website only.
The short version: we collect an email address and the list of artists you asked to hear about. We use it to send you those emails. We do not sell it, and you can delete it at any time.
We do not ask for your name, your address, your phone number, or a password. There are no accounts to create and no payment details anywhere on this site.
To send you the emails you asked for, and to send only those. Your artist selections decide what you receive. We rely on your consent, given when you submit a form and confirm your address by clicking the link we email you. Nothing is sent before you confirm.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not build profiles from it, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
One cookie, and only after you confirm your email: a signed session cookie that keeps you signed in to the feed. It is strictly necessary for that feature, contains no personal information beyond an identifier, and expires after 90 days. Signing out deletes it.
There are no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They process data on our instructions only:
Some of these providers operate servers in the United States. If you are writing to us from elsewhere, your information will be processed there.
Until you tell us to stop. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record that your address opted out — that is what stops us mailing you again by mistake — and delete the rest. If you ask us to delete everything, we do, and that record goes too.
Signups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — for example under the GDPR in the UK and EU, or the CCPA in California — including the right to object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We honour all of these requests regardless of where you live, and we will never treat you differently for making one. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us an email address, write to us and we will delete it.
If we change how we handle your information in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, email you about it.
